- City of Roswell Mayor Dennis Kintigh
- Mayor Dennis Kintigh is a retired FBI special agent and a former Air Force officer who worked in the military and civilian space programs. He is also a veteran of the Army National Guard and worked in the oil fields near Roswell, New Mexico, as a pumper. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Aerospace Engineering and Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona in 1975. Kintigh received many awards during his career as an FBI special agent, including New Mexico Sheriff's and Police Association Officer of the Year in 2005-06. Dennis Kintigh was first elected Representative for New Mexico's Legislative District 57 in 2008.
