“Let's Keep Roswell Moving Forward”
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for your support and encouragement over the years.
It means a lot to me and my family.
My First term as Mayor of this great city is coming to a
close and, as I hope you know, I am running for re-election. We have accomplished
a great deal and many exciting projects have begun, but much more needs to be
done. That is why I am seeking your continued support. "Let's Keep Roswell Moving Forward!"
We have built the Bert Murphy Family Splash Pad in Poe Corn
Park. Some were opposed to that location, but I worked hard to put it there. It
needed to be on a main thoroughfare where it would be seen. It also needed to
be close to at-risk children. Most importantly, I aim to have a positive impact
on the parts of the city that have problems. I intend to "play
offense" move Roswell forward
We have removed scores of derelict structures that that
poisoned our community. Some were removed by property owners when we eliminated
the fees for dumping the debris in the City landfill. Others had to be removed
by City contractors. The difference has been significant. Sadly not everyone
likes this effort, but dozens, if not hundreds, more need to be removed to keep
Roswell moving forward.
We have encouraged and supported private investment at the
Roswell International Air Center (RIAC). The roof of the Dean Baldwin hangar is
finally being rebuilt after decades of neglect. We have begun daily sir service
to Phoenix, This together with our service to DFW makes Roswell accessible from
all over the nation, a critical feature to move
Roswell forward
Downtown Roswell, Especially along Virginia and 2nd, is
being transformed by courageous and creative entrepreneurs. These folks are a
true asset to Roswell, and I have made it a point to support and encourage
them. I hope you do the same because this is what is will really take to keep
moving Roswell forward
Archaic facilities, well past the point of repair, are being
replaced with new, modern and exciting amenities. Some people will want to cling
to the old and broken down. Others want nothing new. Neither of these attitudes
will move Roswell forward
In 2014 almost 70% of voters elected me to "Get
Roswell Moving Forward!" We
have begun to do just that. However, much more needs to be done. I am asking
for your support: "Let's Keep Roswell Moving Forward!" If you live in the
City, please vote for me March 6th. Please encourage others to do the same.
Finally, please support this campaign financially. If you have already
contributed, THANK YOU! If not, please consider making a contribution. This
election is critical. We must not turn back.
“Let's Keep Roswell Moving
Forward”
Sincerely,
Dennis Kintigh
